RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY
After months of planning, construction and anticipation, St. David’s Episcopal Day School (SDEDS) will mark its official debut into the Main Line community with a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. at 765 South Valley Forge Road in Wayne. Families and community members will have the opportunity to participate in guided tours of the newly renovated building, learn more about the school’s programs and curriculum, and enjoy refreshments. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public
“We couldn’t be more excited to share this important milestone with the community as we gear up to welcome our first students for the 2018-2019 academic year,” says Dr. Marissa Kiepert Truong, head of school at SDEDS. “Our newly renovated building, situated on 39 acres of the beautiful, historic grounds of St. David’s Episcopal Church, provides the perfect setting for children to learn and thrive.”
“We are very proud of our new Day School,” adds Brooke Choate, M.A., director of academic support. “Our curriculum truly is unique — with small student-to-teacher ratios, a whole-child approach to learning and programming that is grounded in Christian values, emphasizing character development and spiritual growth.”
NOVEMBER SPEAKER SERIES
Parents on the Main Line looking for advice on important topics related to their children will have the opportunity to hear from local experts at St. David’s Episcopal Day School’s (SDEDS) upcoming Speaker Series. The series will take place throughout the month of November at the school located at 765 South Valley Forge Road in Wayne, and will feature four local experts on the topics of sleep, speech, behavior and literacy. The parents-only events are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
“Our Speaker Series is a fun and informative way to gather local parents for advice and community,” says Dr. Marissa Kiepert Truong, head of school at SDEDS. “As educators, we’re constantly getting questions from parents related to speech, literacy, behavior, and even sleep. We’re happy to provide this resource for area families, and show off our beautiful, newly renovated building in the process.”
